The normally closed solenoid valve is one of the most fundamental and widely used fluid switching components in automation control. Its safety feature of 'closing when powered off,' simple control method, and a wide range of specifications make it an ideal solution for controlling the flow of gases and liquids. The valve body is made of brass and has an IP65 protection rating (dustproof and waterproof).

     operational principle

    1. Power-off state (NC-Normally closed): the valve core is tightly pressed on the valve seat under the action of spring force (or auxiliary medium pressure), blocking the passage of fluid from inlet to outlet. At this time, the valve is closed and no flow.

    2. Powered state: When the coil is connected to the rated voltage current, an electromagnetic force is generated. This force overcomes the spring force (and/or medium pressure), attracting the valve core (armature) to move upward and disengage from the valve seat. At this point, the passage between the inlet and outlet is opened, allowing fluid to pass through the valve.

    3. Power-off recovery: Once the power is cut off, the electromagnetic force disappears, and the spring force (and/or medium pressure) quickly pushes the valve core back to the seat, and the valve closes again to cut off the fluid flow.

     main features

    1. Safe and reliable: The "normally closed" feature means that in the event of a power failure, line failure or emergency, the valve will automatically close, cutting off the flow of the medium. This is essential for preventing leaks, protecting equipment or ensuring process safety.

    2. Simple structure: usually the structure is relatively simple, fewer parts, easy to maintain.

    3. Quick response: On-off actions are typically completed in milliseconds, making them suitable for situations that require rapid control.

    4. Low power consumption: only consumes electric energy when it is turned on (direct action), or only consumes a large amount of electric energy at the moment of action (the power consumption of the lead-in state is very low).

    5. Convenient control: The flow can be controlled by simple on/off signal (on/off), which is easy to integrate into the automation system.

    6. Wide application: suitable for a variety of fluids (air, water, oil, steam, gas-the compatibility of media should be confirmed according to the specific model) and industries.
